Which classes should I take first?

Below you will find the classes we recommend students begin with for each program.

If you are transferring credits from another institution, contact info@cbtseminary.org to discuss what class(es) would be best to start out with.

ST14 Symbolics (Intro to the 1689 Confession) is the first class every student must take, and it is best taken in conjunction with WR11 for all tracks except MARBS. (Please note that master's level classes involve a higher workload than bachelor's level classes. All CBTS classes are master's level, including the BDiv and diploma classes. We recommend you start with WR11 and ST14 and, if you find the workload manageable, add another class. If not, stick with two classes at the beginning).

*ST14 Symbolics (Intro to the 1689 Confession) is the first class every incoming student must take.

** WR11 requires a term paper from another class before it can be completed.  For this reason it does not have the 9 month time restriction that other classes have.  If you are confident in your ability to write theological papers and book reviews, you do not need to make this your first class.  Most students will benefit by taking this class right away.
